Primetimers South West was launched in January 2012 led by Bristol-based Dominic Millar, who has been working locally in the not for profit sector for the last three years following a successful career in IT and business.
As part of David Cameron’s Big Society vision, Primetimers has received funding through the Cabinet Office’s Social Action Fund, to build the capacity of civil society organisations in the South West of England.
We are keen to engage experienced business professionals, who may be looking at a career change or retirement, to volunteer their skills in order to deliver practical and innovative support to civil society organisations. If you would like to find out more about Primetimers, come along to one of our Learning Events in Central Bristol and find out whether working in this sector is right for you.
The next Learning Event is on: 12th October 2012

"The Primetimers workshop which I attended delivered really useful insights for people wishing to change career from the private or public sectors and work for a charity or social enterprise. Dominic demonstrated a clear understanding of the cultural differences which would be encountered. The individual follow-up was tailored to my needs and was highly relevant. Dominic provided me with an opening to do voluntary work through which I have been able to develop new skills, experiences and contacts."
