CHIEF EXECUTIVE

IMMIGRATION ADVISORY SERVICE

C£90 + benefits

London

The Immigration Advisory Service (IAS), a leading national charity providing legal advice and representation services to eligible immigrants and asylum seekers is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Chief Executive. This is an outstanding opportunity to grow and shape this worthwhile organisation, developing its vision and strategy and leading a committed team.  The position would suit someone who has experience of running multi-site, service delivery operations such as an advisory service. This may have been in a public, private or voluntary organisation. You will already be in a management or leadership position and ready to tackle the greater responsibility and profile offered by a Chief Executive role.

Experience of leading and implementing strategic thinking and developing policy with sound business acumen is essential.  You will have a commitment to performance management and service delivery and a willingness to take a hands-on approach to moving the charity forward.  Excellent financial management and planning skills are a must.  You will also have outstanding communication and influencing skills .  IAS has its headquarters in London but you will be expected to be visible out in the regions.

The new CEO will lead IAS through the major changes anticipated within the sector. It's a big challenge, but you'll have staff across the UK and a supportive Board of Trustees, all committed to our aims. Specifically we want to ensure that IAS is acknowledged as a leading provider of quality advice to immigrants and asylum seekers nationwide; to take on more difficult and harder to deliver services; to evidence our work using a stronger research base.

If you are interested in learning more about either of these important and challenging roles please contact us, PrimeTimers, by emailing recruitment@primetimers.org.uk quoting reference IASPT ( www.primetimers.org.uk ).  The closing date for applications is June 18 th 2010.
