FINANCE EXECUTIVES SWITCH TO THIRD SECTOR
As third sector organisations grapple with the challenges of the current economic climate, substantial expertise from the financial sector is becoming increasingly available as city, banking and financial services executives look to the third sector for job opportunities.
"In the first quarter of this year we've had three times as many enquiries from executives in the financial sector looking to switch to the not for profit sector, than in 2008" said Brent Thomas, director of PrimeTimers, business skills supplier to the third sector. "This has produced a source of high calibre candidates with considerable expertise that will be highly relevant to charities and social enterprises over the next couple of years" he continued.
